Hey guys!
Sorry I didnt write last week, the power went out in all of Puerto Cabesaz so I didnt get a chance to write a big email. The internet was out all of today too but it just came back :)
This week was a good week. A pretty normal week as well.
We are now full into rain season. It is nice. We get pretty wet because it rains super hard here but we dont sweat as much. I take being soaking wet from rain than soaking wet from sweat any day. I was on the beach during the rain and it was pretty cool.
Today has not been the best day. My comp and I woke up today super sick. From 5 am until about 1 we had been taking constant turns in the bathroom. It has been rough. I feel a little bit better now. I think it was something that we ate. Sometimes people give us water from the wells and that water usually isnt to clean. I hope I get better. I have heard some bad stories here haha
The work is okay right now. We dont have a ton of investigadors but we had three in church this last week, which isnt too bad. We might have a baptism this weekend but it isnt for sure. I hope we can make it work. I was a little butthurt this week because everyone who had a baptism went to the ocean because there was no water in the church and we didnt have anyone to baptise. I was butthurt, real butthurt.
I feel like I have learned so much about myself here in the mission. I know when I am giving it my best and when I am going through the motions. I try to give it my all every single day. I try to take one day at a time and control the things I can control. I feel like I always get put little obstacles in my path and God just wants to see what I do with them. The thing that I have learned is that if I push myself through the obstacle and I work in the way the Lord wants me to work, I am blessed with so much more than doing things my way. It is a good lesson. Do the things in the way the lord wants us and we are always blessed more than our way.
Thats all i got for you guys this week. Not much this week.
I hope everyone has a great week!
Nos vemos
Elder Sherle
